Brett Knox, Commissioner District #1
( present term ends December 2026 )
Brett and his wife, Melissa, have four children: Olivia, Peyton, Sam and Ethan. He farms southwest of Doland and currently serves on the township board.
Brett's appointments with the county commission are: Drainage, E-911, Planning & Zoning and Weed & Pest Boards. Also Liason on the 4-H Expansion & Advisory Committee, NECOG.

Brian Johnson, Commissioner District #2

Brian and his wife, Jamie, have four children: Ella, Lila, Leo, and Evelyn. They farm southeast of Frankfort and he currently serves on the township board. Brian graduated from Redfield High School and South Dakota State University with a degree in Ag-Business.
Brian is a commission representative on the Drainage, E-911, Planning & Zoning, and Weed & Pest Boards. Also Employee Health Insurance, Fair, Law Enforcement and NECOG

As County Commissioner he serves on Drainage, E-911, Planning & Zoning, and Weed & Pest Boards. Also NECOG, Aberdeen Brown County Railroad Authority, and Grow Spink.

Suzanne Smith, Commissioner District #4
( present term ends December 2024 )
Suzanne is a lifelong resident of Spink County. She graduated from Northwestern High School in 1981 and from Lake Area Vo-Tech with a degree in Human Services in 1982. Suzanne has worked at the SD Developmental Center in Redfield. In 1988 she took over the business at the Brentford Legion Club and remains there to present. She is a Brentford resident and has served as a Trustee on the Brentford City Council for 13 years from 2003-2016.
Suzanne’s Commision duties include: Drainage, E-911, Planning & Zoning, and Weed & Pest Boards. Also Law Enforcement, Spink County Ambulance, Aberdeen Brown County Railroad Authority, LEPC

Dave Albrecht, Commissioner District #5

Dave is a life-long resident of Redfield. He graduated from Redfield High School and South Dakota State University. He and his wife, Yvette, have two children, Courtney and Ephram.
Some of Dave's duties on the commission include: Drainage, E-911, Planning & Zoning, and Weed & Pest Boards. Also Personnel Policy Board.
